MAX17117: Complete power solution for GOA notebook LCD panels
Maxim introduced the MAX17117, a complete power solution for gate-on-array (GOA) notebook LCD panels. This fully integrated device includes a 7-channel, high-voltage scan driver for the TFT panel gate drivers; a MOSFET boost converter for AVDD supply; a 350mA LDO; and a high-speed operational amplifier for LCD backplane bias--all in a 25mm2 TQFN.
MaxiThe integrated MOSFET boost converter reduces overall BOM cost by eliminating the need for an external MOSFET. The high-current operational amplifier offers fast slew rates (40V/microsecond, typ) and a high bandwidth (16 MHz), making it ideal for driving the LCD backplane. The seven scan driver outputs swing 40V (max) between +35V (max) and -15V (min) to swiftly drive the gate capacitance of the LCD backplane.
