The Diodes AL5887Q is a high-performance, 36-channel linear LED driver designed for automotive applications. It supports both I²C and SPI digital interfaces, providing flexibility for system integration.

Each of its 36 channels can be individually programmed for precise current control, making it ideal for driving RGB LED modules and individual LEDs.

The AL5887Q features a 12-bit PWM generator for each channel, enabling fine-tuned colour and brightness control.

With a maximum current of 70 mA per channel and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, this driver is robust and versatile.

It includes advanced diagnostic and protection features such as overtemperature protection, fault reporting, and ultra-low quiescent shutdown current, ensuring reliable operation in demanding environments.

The AL5887Q is housed in a compact W-QFN6060-52/SWP package, making it suitable for space-constrained designs.

It features a power-saving mode (15 µA max.), open drain fault pin for fault indication, configurable fault mask registers, 6-bit global current dimming, and logarithmic or linear scale brightness control.

It comes in a compact W-QFN6060-52/SWP package

Applications include interior and external automotive lighting, infotainment displays, head up displays, navigation systems, warning and signal lights, instrument cluster lighting and dashboard illumination.

The AL5887Q is in stock at authorised distributor DigiKey.
