Intersil's Precision Op Amp features Industry-best Radiation Hardness
Intersil introduce the ISL70444SEH, a rail-to-rail input and output 19MHz op amp featuring low power, low offset voltage with industry-best radiation hardness and electrical performance. It meets the precision, low power and radiation performance required for aerospace, satellite, and data acquisition applications.
The Outstanding Single Event Effects, Transient, Burnout Performance
The ISL70444SEH is built using Intersil’s advanced PR40 process which uses dielectrically isolated substrates to achieve single-event latchup-free performance. It is rated at a total dose level of 300 krad(Si) at high dose rate irradiation and at 50 krad(Si) at low dose rate per MIL-STD-883. The part is acceptance tested on a wafer-by-wafer basis at both high and low dose rates. The ISL70444SEH also features outstanding single-event effects performance. Single-event transient testing has demonstrated output pulses of less than 5 microseconds on the amplifier output at a heavy ion linear energy transfer up to 86 MeV.cm2/mg. This minimizes design analysis and output filtering. Single-event burnout level matches the Intersil PR40 process’ absolute maximum rating of 42V at 86 MeV.cm2/mg, providing designers with a high level of confidence when derating the device for the majority of space environments, including satellite systems.
The ISL70444SEH is available in a hermetic flatpack package/pinout that is footprint-compatible with the most popular op amps in the space industry, which minimizes customer qualification times.
Features and Specifications:
-Four monolithic low power op amps on one die provide maximum dynamic range.
-Enhanced slew rate mode boosts rate to 100V/us (at 40V supply rail to supply rail), so it quickly reacts and tracks larger signals.
-Exceptional SET performance minimizes filtering and design analysis.
Pricing and Availability
The ISL70444SEH is available now in 14-lead hermetic ceramic flatpacks and operates over the -55 degrees C to 125 degrees C temperature range. Prototype prices start at $201.98 each in 1,000-unit quantities.
