The introduction of the CSW65 series, AC-DC industrial power supplies that can operate on 115V, 230V and 277Vac nominal inputs, has been announced by TDK Corporation. Rated at up to 65W output power, the units accept a very wide 90-305Vac input, eliminating the need for step down transformers when operating at 277Vac. Target applications include smart building automation, lighting, heating and cooling controllers and secure user access systems.

The CSW65 will operate without forced air cooling in ambient temperatures of -10 to 70°C, derating linearly above 50°C to 50% load at 70°C. Output voltages of 5, 12, 15, 18, 24, 28, 48 and 54V are available and all models meet Department of Energy Efficiency Level VI and ErP Tier 2.

Average efficiency levels are greater than 89% (87.2% for the 5V model), and the off-load power consumption is less than 150mW.

The U-channel package style has an optional cover and DIN Rail mounting clip. The CSW65 measures 63.5x120.7x38.1mm (WxLxH) and 63.5x120.7x47.2mm with the DIN rail clip fitted.

All models are certified to the IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950-1 safety standards, and in addition the 24V output model has been evaluated to UL 1310 (NEC Class 2). CE marking is to the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS2 Directives. Units are compliant to the EN 55032-B (radiated and conducted) and EN 55024 immunity standards.
