Fairchild announce best-in-class product obsolescence policy

One of the issues we heard clearly from our customers was that design and production cycles were being negatively affected by our product obsolescence practices. We decided to change our approach once we heard this feedback.”

Complementing the new obsolescence policy, Fairchild is also extending its lifetime supply policy. Under the new policy, if Fairchild is required to stop production of a specific product, the company will offer our customers a new, enhanced lifetime supply policy with a 24-month duration. The enhanced lifetime supply policy gives customers 12 months after notice of discontinuation to place their final order, and an extended 12-month period after the last order to take delivery.

Both changes are effective immediately.
