Emerson Network Power Unveils DP40 Power Supply Series for Medical, IT and Telecommunications Applications
Emerson Network Power expanded its portfolio of ac-dc power supplies with the introduction of the DP40 external switching power supply series. The DP40 series is the first external adapter family from the Embedded Power business of Emerson Network Power to feature both Information Technology Equipment (ITE) and medical-grade (non-patient contact and non-patient critical) safety approvals, making them ideal for low-power medical, telecommunications, test and measurement, networking and imaging applications. To further enhance the series’ flexibility, the power supplies are equipped with either 3-pin (type C14) or 2-pin (type C8) IEC320 ac input receptacles.
The All models are designed to achieve high levels of efficiency and reliability. The DP40 power supply series is compliant with WEEE, CeC IV and Energy Star 2.0 efficiency standards and offers a typical operating efficiency of 84 percent at full load. Under normal operating conditions, the power supplies require less than 49 W of input power and consume less than 300 milliwatts of power under no-load conditions. They are also equipped with comprehensive auto-recovery and auto-reset features to protect against overload and short-circuit conditions.
All DP40 power supplies feature a built-in EMI filter and meet rigorous EN55022-B and FCC part 15 Level B EMC conducted noise standards. The series is backed by a comprehensive set of worldwide ITE and medical safety approvals, including UL/cUL/TUV 60950-1, CE Mark EMC/LVD certification and CCC approvals.
