EMIS has announced the release of its MF620 DC EMI Filter range, specifically designed for high-power electric vehicle (EV) charging applications.

The new filters are engineered to suppress electrical disturbances in power lines, offering a compact and space-saving solution for DC fast charging stations. The MF620 filter series addresses the growing demand for efficient and reliable EMI control in the expanding EV charging infrastructure.

The MF620 range complies with key industry standards, including IEC/EN 61851-23 for Electric Vehicle Conductive Charging Systems and UL 2202 for EV Charging System Equipment. These high-current, dual-stage DC EMI/EMC filters are capable of operating up to 1600VDC, with customisable parallel capacitor options, making them highly adaptable for various applications.

While primarily designed for EV charging stations, the MF620 filters can also be applied across other sectors, including industrial automation, renewable energy systems, telecommunications equipment, and power supplies. The filters’ specific capacitance and inductance values ensure effective targeting of unwanted frequencies, making them a versatile solution for noise suppression.

Key features of the MF620 DC EMI filter range:

  • Supports various voltage levels and load currents, making it adaptable for diverse applications
  • Provides protection against both Common Mode and Differential Mode interference, ensuring comprehensive noise reduction
  • Compact design for easy integration into existing electronic systems
  • Capable of operating at voltages up to 1500VDC
  • Current ratings range from 150A to 1600A
  • Chassis mounting for straightforward installation
