BYD BatteryBox celebrates more than one million installed systems
Since the launch of the first BYD BatteryBox system at ees Europe in 2015, the battery storage solution series has established itself as one of the most popular and successful energy storage systems across the globe.
In 2024 BYD celebrated a track record of more than one million installed systems, without a single safety issue. The system is renowned for both its reliability and the flexibility which allows the partners and clients to adapt the system to their specific application cases. The full range of the BYD BatteryBox Premium product portfolio will be presented at the booth – including the high-voltage models BYD BatteryBox Premium HVS and HVM as well as the low-voltage models LVL and LVS.
At The Smarter E Europe 2024, BYD will present a new BCU for the BatteryBox HVM and HVS series. A newly introduced plug system will eliminate the need of removing the cover to connect cables during the system installation. This not only makes installation quick and easy, but it also eliminates sources for errors during the installation.
“As the European services partner for BYD BatteryBox we have experienced the success of the system during the last nine years,” said Florian Blaser, General Manager EFT-Systems – European partner for BYD BatteryBox. “The system has been rated as the number one choice of installers in several surveys and has been able to grow its market share to more than 30% in the residential market sector. In addition to the systems’ strong performance, reliability, and flexibility this success can also be attributed to the fantastic cooperation within the European partner network. To celebrate this strong cooperation BYD will take the opportunity to thank partners for their contribution with a special installer partner event at The Smarter E Europe 2024.”
Installer partner event on 19th June 2024
On June 19th starting at 3:00pm, the BYD BatteryBox team will host a special partner event at the booth to thank their partners for the successful collaboration in Europe. After an opening by BYD Residential Energy Storage EU Sales Director Cindy Tang, partners will have the opportunity to win exciting prizes, such as tickets for the final of the UEFA Euro 2024, BYD BatteryBox HVM system, BCU (Battery Control Unit), HVM battery module and more.
Introducing a new BatteryMax Lite generation
The new system generation of BatteryMax Lite will be launched at the ees Europe 2024. True to the motto “Max your Business”, the solution has been designed to support C&I applications and to realise a speedy ROI by utilising energy storage to cut costs on the rising energy bills through self-consumption, peak-shaving, or time-of-use arbitrage. The system offers the flexibility to scale from 30kWh to 90kWh due to the modular system within each cabinet and can be scaled up to 5.76MWh by connecting 64 towers in parallel. The new system generation with BYD’s proven cobalt-free LFP battery cells has an even more compact footprint (0.9 x 1.3 meters), offers an open interface, an intelligent battery management unit and supports a very easy installation. BatteryMax Lite features a wide variety of safety and security functions and guarantees a high performance of 90kW per cabinet. The system has been designed for use with inverters such as SMA, KACO, Deye, Goodwe, Solis, and more.
The new BatteryMax Lite can be pre-ordered from July 2024. With shipments starting in late summer, system availability in Europe is expected for October 2024.
“The team of BYD BatteryBox is looking forward to meeting partners and customers at The Smarter E Europe 2024. The trade fair is always very valued and a highly anticipated opportunity for a dialogue with our European partner and customer base, and to provide them with the opportunity to experience the latest solutions”, said Jiang Feng, Director for Residential Energy Storage at BYD. “The European market and our partner network are very important to us, and we are continuing to grow our market presence. We are proud that BYD Auto is the official E-Mobility Partner for UEFA Euro 2024. The partnership also aligns perfectly with UEFA’s endeavour to promote a greener and more eco-friendly UEFA EURO 2024 and with BYD’s overall goal to provide zero-emission energy and mobility solutions that reduce global reliance on fossil fuels.”
