The Quasar Inverter from Gresham Power will find a wide variety of uses over and above supplying high quality AC power from a DC source.

To generate the three colours in an RGB LED, designers would typically need to use three separate MOSFETs, all the associated interface circuitry, and three GPIO pins on the system processor to drive the RGB LED. With AnalogicTech’s AAT4295 and AAT4297, designers can now support up to two RGB LEDs while eliminating the need for discrete MOSFETs and save the GPIO lines for other system functions.

Intersil's latest single-phase buck voltage regulator is designed to power next-generation graphics processing units (GPUs) or graphics cores used on Intel Santa Rosa platforms. The device reduces power consumption and enhances the performance of the GPU by dynamically changing output voltage and operation modes corresponding to the advanced GPU control protocol.

XP Power has introduced an AC/DC switching power supply that enables users to specify any voltage level up to the maximum rating of each output while still maintaining full agency approvals. Other power supplies only permit pre-defined output voltages in order to maintain the approvals status.
