Powersolve has announced the availability of Astec’s LPS120 Series of open-frame, 5 x 3in footprint switch mode power supplies. Power output is a maximum of 80W (convection) and 130W with 30 CFM forced air cooling. Single DC outputs are 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24 or 48V and there are additional 5V standby and 12V fan outputs. Input is 85 to 264VAC with active power factor correction.

Designed primarily for use in vehicles, the new V104 from Datasound Laboratories is a PC/104 multiple output DC/DC 25W converter with a wide input range of 8 to 30V (>6:1) and is ideal for battery or unregulated input applications or low voltage AC inputs.

Texas Instruments has introduced a new 1-A, bqTINYT single-cell lithium-ion (Li-Ion) linear charger with enhanced thermal fold-back regulation and low dropout power management. The new 3 mm x 3 mm device will enable personal digital assistants, cell phones, digital cameras and wireless headsets to charge more safely and efficiently from a battery charge cradle or AC adapter.
