Power-One has introduced the 75W PLP75-1012G ac-dc power supply. This cost-effective 12V supply offers excellent EMC immunity, is RoHS compliant for the reduction of all six substances, and fits within 1U height constraints. The PLP75-1012G is an ideal power source for a wide variety of applications including use as a front end for point-of load converters, or for powering electro-mechanical devices such as fans, in telecom/datacom, and industrial environments.

High efficiencies and advanced thermal management techniques facilitate providing 75W with only 5 CFM forced-air cooling, and 65W with only convection cooling. This relatively small airflow requirement eliminates the need for this 3" x 5" (76.2 x 127mm) power supply to be located directly adjacent to a cooling fan, allowing greater flexibility in overall system design. In addition, a low 1.38" (35.1mm) profile reduces airflow shadowing, increasing cooling for downstream devices.

The PLP75-1012G offers excellent EMC immunity and meets EN 61000 standards for ESD, RF Susceptibility, Fast Transient/Burst, Surge, RF Immunity, Magnetic Fields, and Voltage Interruptions. Other features include .99 power factor correction, 85 to 264VAC universal input, and the CE Mark for the European Low Voltage Directive (LVD). Pricing is $45 each in quantities of 250.
