MEAN WELL have announced the RSP-500 series of low profile enclosed type power supply with single output and PFC functionality. The 500W RSP-500 series power supplies are 22.1% smaller in size and up to 8% higher in working efficiency compared to corresponding models in the previous SP-480 series.

Operating over a wide temperature range from -30℃ to +70℃ (even wider than the -20℃ to +60℃ range offered by the SP-480 series), the RSP-500 series feature high efficiency and a 1U low profile (40.5mm). The new power supplies are especially suitable for end users who are looking for economical power supplies with energy-saving and low profile installation features.

Equipped with PFC functionality and posessing up to 90.5% efficiency, the RSP-500 series power supplies can be cooled by the built-in long life DC fan from -30℃ to +50℃ ambient temperature under full load condition, and even up to +70℃ by suitable derating. Featuring 85 - 264VAC full range input, the RSP-500 series offer output voltage selection between 3.3V and 48V, remote sense, remote ON/OFF control, and fan speed control.

Offering protections for short circuit, overload, over voltage and over temperature, all series comply with UL, CUL, TUV, CB, and CE regulations that can greatly guarantee your safety. Target applications for the new power supplies include general industrial control system, mechanical and electrical industry, instruments, LED display, or any systems require low profile installations.

Offered with dimensions of 230 mm x 127 mm x 40.5 mm, the new RSP-500 series power supplies feature a 3 year warranty.
