42W multiple output power adapters meet energy efficiency standards

It has been announced by TRUMPower that its TSA42 power adapter series are compliant with DOE level VI. Measuring 146x76x43mm, the TSA42 units are furnished with an IEC 320/C14 AC inlet and a power-on indicator. The series comes with 16 dual and triple output models offering combinations of +3.3, ±5, +5.1, +7.2, ±12, ±15 and ±24V at 23.82-42W output power.

It features 80-84% efficiency at full load and 0.3W no-load power consumption. Standard output connector is a 5-pin DIN plug but alternative output connectors are available upon request.

The power supply is approved to UL/IEC/EN 60950-1 2nd edition safety standards and it is UL, cUL, CB, CE, TUV/GS, PSE approved. The unit complies with EMC and immunity standards including EN55022, FCC Class B, EN61000-3-2, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-5, EN61000-4-11, etc.

The power supply is RoHS compliant and accepts a 90-264VAC universal input. Withstand voltage is specific at 4,242VDC from input to output and 2,677VDC from input to ground. The units can operate at 0 to +70°C ambient temperature (de-rating applies above 40°C) and the MTBF is higher than 100,000 hours at full load, 25°C ambient calculated per MIL-HDBK-217F. Output protections include short-circuit, over voltage, and over load.
