4:1 WIDE RANGE INPUTS MAKE CONVERTERS EVEN MORE VERSATILE
To further increase the versatility of its popular and competitively priced PXF series of DC/DC converters, Lambda has now introduced models with a 4:1 input voltage range. Benefits include the opportunity for users to reduce inventory, since the same device can now be used for many different applications, and the suitability of the new products for use in systems where the input voltage varies widely, such as battery powered systems.
LambLike all products in the PXF family, the new converters offer 40W output capacity in the industry-standard 2 x 2 footprint that is typically associated with 30W devices. They offer isolation rated at 1,600V between input and output, with a maximum isolation capacitance of 1,000pF.
To minimise radiated noise, PXF converters include six-sided shielding. They fully meet the requirements of EN55022 Level A for radiated emissions and they are also compliant with the relevant sections of EN61000-4 for immunity.
Reliable operation of the converters, even in adverse conditions is ensured by the over-current and short-circuit protection features that come as standard and by the generous input surge voltage ratings of the devices. Over-voltage protection, which takes the form of a zener clamp is also featured on all outputs.
With an operating temperature range of -40 to +85ºC, a relative humidity range of 5 to 95% and a typical MTBF in excess of 1.3 million hours, PXF DC/DC converters from Lambda, in both standard and wide input range versions, are a dependable, convenient and cost-effective choice for even the most demanding of applications.
