35W supply targets low power security applications
MEAN WELL's PSC series, targeting security applications, has been adopted by several global manufacturers of security monitoring systems since its release. Apart from the primary output, the supply features one additional charger output with a relatively small current, enabling the DC UPS application with a back-up battery.
In addition to 60, 100 and 160W models (respectively, PSC-60, -100 and -160), MEAN WELL has announced the addition of a 35W model, the PSC-35 series, to fulfil demand for low power security applications or small-scale battery back-up applications. Like MEAN WELL's other PSC series, PSC-35 is available in either the PCB-type or the enclosed-type (with L-bracket and cover) configuration for different application requirements.
The PSC-35 series operates with input from 90-264VAC. At the output end, 13.8VDC (adjustable range 12-15VDC) and 27.6VDC (adjustable range 24-29VDC) are provided, to fulfil the most frequently-used voltages for security applications, 12 and 24VDC.
The working efficiency of this series is up to 86%, and the entire series can operate between -30 and +70°C under free air convection. The PSC-35 is designed with complete protection functions, including short circuit protection, overload protection, over voltage protection, battery low protection and battery reverse polarity protection by fuse. It also provides the alarm function, via TTL signal output, for AC OK and battery low. Moreover, the PSC-35 series is compliant with international certificates including UL, CUL, TUV, CB, and CE. Suitable applications include security systems, emergency lighting systems, alarm systems, DC UPS systems, central monitoring systems and access systems.
The dimensions of the series measure 84.6x50.8x24mm for the PCB type, and for the enclosed type, 86.4x59.6x30mm. A two year warranty is provided.
