1U programmable DC power supply series extended with 1,700W rated models
TDK introduce of 1,700W rated models to the TDK-Lambda GENESYS+ series of programmable DC power supplies. These additional units provide the capability of operating from a single phase wide range ac input of 85 to 265Vac, rather than three phase 208/400/480Vac. Applications for these lower wattage supplies include laboratory use as well as component, automotive and aerospace testing, semiconductor fabrication, solar array and battery simulation, plating and water treatment.
The ten new models are rated at 0V to 10V, 20V, 30V, 40V, 60V, 80V, 100V, 150V, 300V and 600V, with output currents of 0-2.8A to 0-170A, and are capable of operating in constant voltage, constant current and constant power modes.
All GENESYS+ 1.7kW products share a common 1U high 19” (483mm) rack mountable chassis and weigh under 5kg. Up to four units can be connected in parallel with an auto-configuring advanced master/slave system that provides dynamic load response and ripple and noise characteristics comparable with that of a single power supply.
Programming across all the GENESYS+ series can be achieved by either utilising the front panel controls or remotely via LAN (LXI 1.5), USB 2.0 and RS232/485 communications, or the isolated analogue control and monitoring interface (0-5V or 0-10V) which are provided as standard. Optional interfaces include GPIB (IEEE488.2) and the Anybus CompactCom interface platform for DeviceNet, EtherCat, Modbus, PROFIBUS and other interface options as they are released.
Software drivers, a waveform creator and a virtual front panel GUI are provided in the software package. Safety features are standard in all Genesys+ power supplies, providing Safe/Auto Re-Start, Last Setting Memory and built-in protection functions. Control of voltage and current slew rate, internal resistance simulation and display brightness control are all standard features.
The five year warranty series is safety certified to IEC/EN/UL 60950-1, CE marked to the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS2 Directives and compliant to the industrial IEC/EN 61326-1 standard for conducted EMI, radiated EMI and EMC immunity.
