Vishay’s New Thin Film Chip Resistors Aimed at Down-Hole Drilling and Aviation Applications
A series of wire-bondable, bare die chip resistors and resistor networks optimized for extreme high-temperature environments such as down-hole drilling and aviation applications was released by Vishay.
The Typical TCR for the new discrete resistors is 25 ppm/°C, with available tolerances down to 0.05 %. Typical tracking TCR for the resistor networks is 2 ppm/°C with a ratio tolerance as low as 0.02 %.
The RMKHT resistors and resistor networks, which have a 0.4-mm height profile, are available in footprint options from 20 mils by 20 mils to 100 mils by 200 mils and with an ohmic range of 10 Ω to 6 MΩ, depending on series. Their power ratings range from 5 mW to 100 mW or 10 mW per resistor element for the resistor networks.
The RMKHT devices feature a wire-bondable construction with aluminum pads and a metallized backside option. Custom versions (CNHT) of the devices are available on request.
Samples and production quantities of Vishay’s new RMKHT resistors and resistor networks are available now, with lead times of 10 to 12 weeks for larger orders.
