Rutronik includes new ESD Protection Device

STMicroelectronics‘ new ESDALC5-1BF4 features a single-line ESD diode combining a low parasitic capacitance of only 12pF with an efficient clamping voltage of only 14V just 30ns after an 8kV ESD discharge. Its maximum leakage current of 100nA helps minimize the overall system power consumption. Furthermore, the device’s bi-directional diode structure makes it compatible with both positive and negative polarity signals. Thanks to its tiny 0201 surface-mount package with a size of only 0.3x0.8mm and 16kV capability, it is ideally suited for applications requiring a compact PCB form factor and strong ESD robustness.
