Honeywell gets International Safety Certification on MICRO SWITCH Hazardous Location Switch Family
Honeywell has announced that its MICRO SWITCH EX Series Hazardous Location line of switch products has received the International Electrotechnical Commission's Certification to Standards relating to Equipment for use in Explosive Atmospheres (IECEx). With this international certification, Honeywell's global customers know that their explosion-proof switches meet the IEC's high standards for equipment used in explosive atmospheres.
In aNow that we have this certification, our customers can apply our products almost anywhere in the world and meet ever-increasing levels of safety regulations, said Brad Kautzer, vice president and general manager of the electromechanical line of business for Honeywell Sensing and Control. Honeywell offers a wide range of differentiated solutions to meet virtually any application requirement.
Honeywell MICRO SWITCH EX Series Hazardous Location Limit Switches are rugged products used in potentially explosive locations, such as control valves in petrochemical, waste handling, or food processing plants. Honeywell's MICRO SWITCH BX Series Hazardous Location Switches received IECEx approvals in 2008, and Honeywell continues to seek approvals for other series within this product line. Honeywell MICRO SWITCH™ explosion-proof limit switches may be most appropriate for use in dangerous environments where contamination or long distances may render other sensing technologies ineffective.
