DMTL - Safety Disc Capacitors meet all major safety standards

These are class X1 Y1 and X2 Y2 ceramic disc capacitors designed specifically for use in modern communications systems and other electronic equipment where they protect against lightning and voltage surges and are also specified for their EMI filter and isolation capabilities.

According to DMTL’s Commercial Director Pete Jones, SDC Series capacitors are also used as a line filter for interference suppression. Insulation resistance is a minimum of 10,000MΩ at 500VDC while dielectric strength can range from 2600VAC to 4000VAC for one minute.
