Now available in Europe through TTI are CSS series high power current sense resistors from Bourns. The devices come in both 2-terminal and 4-terminal versions. The 2-terminal models are available in three different footprint sizes: 5930, 3920 and 2512 (6332 Metric).

  The RNCF Series from Stackpole is a thin film chip resistor series capable of precision. From sizes 0201 up to 2512 the RNCF offers 0.01% tolerances for a wide range of resistance values. The RNCF also offers TCR down to 2ppm for a significant value range for all sizes but the 0201 size.

The maximum voltage rating of the Vishay BCcomponents 500 PGP-ST series of aluminum screw-terminal capacitors has been extended to 500V while more than doubling its useful life to 5000 hours at +85°C. The Vishay Cera-Mite 715CxxKT series of ceramic screw-mounting disc capacitors has been expanded with higher voltages to 50kVDC (34kVRMS). Suitable for use in a wide range of cooking RF energy applications, the BLC2425M10LS500P has an excellent high-power to footprint ratio as it delivers 500W CW from a single SOT1250 air cavity plastic package.

The WW Series high temperature silicone coated wirewound resistors meet UL94V-0 flammability requirements. The all welded WW is available in power ratings from 0.5 up to 11W and tolerances from five to 0.1%. Typical TCR for the WW series ranges from 90 ppm or better for resistance values below one ohm to 20ppm or better for values above ten ohms.

A supercapacitor module from Eaton that delivers high reliability, high power and ultra-high capacitance energy storage is available now at TTI. Utilising electrochemical double-layer capacitor (EDLC) construction, the Eaton XLR-48 supercapacitor module can be used as a sole energy source or in combination with batteries to optimise cost, lifetime and run time.

  The RPC Series from Stackpole is an anti-surge chip resistor with superior pulse handling performance compared to standard thick film chips. Stackpole has recently added an 0402 chip size rated at 0.2W and featuring values from 1Ω to 1M in tolerances as low as ±0.5% and TCR as low as ±100ppm.
