Circuit protection components for computing interfaces
Two new series of steering diode / TVS arrays have been introduced by ProTek Devices, for surge, electrostatic discharge and other circuit protection in computing applications such as Ethernet ports, set-top boxes, and other computing ports and interfaces. The PSRDAxx-4A and PSRDAxx-6A series are low capacitance multi-line steering diode / transient voltage suppressor arrays.
Automotive qualified platinum thin film RTD temperature sensors
This video provides an overview of Vishay’s Automotive Qualified PTS AT series which are Thin Film RTDs used for temperature sensing and measurement.
Diode's technology leads to lower static losses
Now being shipped by Farnell is the 1200V TRENCHSTOP IGBT7 and emitter-controlled EC7 diode from Infineon. Packaged in the Easy housing, this EasyPIM IGBT7 provides higher power density, lower system cost, and reduced system size. The diode’s technology is based on latest micro-pattern trenches technology and optimised for industrial drive applications which means much lower static losses to meet energy efficiency requirements, softer switc...
Littelfuse Type 2 surge protection devices
Littelfuse Type 2 Surge Protection Devices for branch circuits safeguard components from transient overvoltage or surges by limiting the fault current to a load or the unit being protected.
Melf resistors offer electrical and environmental stability
Stackpole's MLFA Series is fully AEC-Q200 compliant and offered in 0102 (0.3W), 0204 (0.4W), and 0207 (1W) sizes. The MLFA has stability demonstrated over life, biased humidity, and short time overload testing. In addition, the MLFA offers pulse power handling up to 3,500W for single short duration pulses, and lightning surge withstanding up to 6KV for resistance values above 100KΩ.
Shunt resistor designed for high current measurements
TT Electronics has announced E-Beam Welded Shunt resistors for industrial and automotive applications. The EBW8518 is an electron beam welded resistance element, sandwiched between large copper terminals with optional tin plating. Precision applications can make use of its one percent tolerance, 100ppm/°C TCR, 1µV/°C thermal EMF and separate ground pins to reduce errors.
Integrated passive components simplify signal conditioning
Integrated Passive Components (IPCs) are attracting increasing interest due to the miniaturisation of wireless devices, as well as the need to increase reliability of signal conditioning in RF circuits such as filtering, impedance matching, differential to single ended conversion and coupling. IPCs are essentially electronic sub-systems that combine multiple discrete passive components into a single surface mounted device.
Overcurrent protection line expanded with 33 new models
Bourns has announced the completion of a significant expansion of its SinglFuse overcurrent protection product line, adding 33 new model series to the portfolio over the last 18 months. A rising focus on safety across many industries has led to increasing requirements for effective circuit protection. Designed to safety standards and to provide reliable overcurrent protection in sensitive circuitry, the expanded SinglFuse portfolio supp...
Isolated RS-485/RS-422 transceiver with robust EMC
The ISO14xx devices from Texas Instruments are galvanically-isolated differential line transceivers for TIA/EIA RS-485 and RS-422 applications. These noise-immune transceivers are designed to operate in harsh industrial environments. The bus pins can endure high levels of IEC electrostatic discharge and IEC electrical fast transient events which eliminates the need for additional components on bus for system-level protection.
Shunt solution for current measurement in e-mobility
The key feature of the new BAC shunt from Isabellenhütte is the small circuit board attached to the shunt. The board includes a connector for an easy connection of the measurement connection. Users are ensured a reliable measurement of signals and are spared an additional process step during production.
