TAIYO YUDEN has announced that its LBMF1608 series wire-wound chip inductors are now being produced at the rate of 10 million units per month. As the first-ever device to achieve a 47µH inductance rating in 0603 case size (1.6 x 0.8 x 0.8mm), the LBMF1608 is 33% smaller by volume than equivalent-rated 0805 inductors typically used in the IC input power circuits of cell phones, PDAs, still/video cameras and other mobile digital equipment.

knitter-switch has announced the introduction of its TSS 309 push-button tact switch. This space-saving surface mounted switch measures 3.8 x 6.0mm and is just 1.7mm high.
