Fujitsu Components Europe B.V. has introduced a 10A power relay with a maximum noise level of 50dB for use in sophisticated consumer appliances, such as digital televisions. An internal U-shaped spring enables the relay’s low noise level even when mounted on a printed circuit board.

The new TSS 17-1 series from knitter-switch features a very low profile of just 1.5mm and a body size of 5 x 5mm, making it suitable for applications where space is at a premium. These include portable consumer products such as MP3 players and remote controllers.

TAIYO YUDEN has announced that its LBMF1608 series wire-wound chip inductors are now being produced at the rate of 10 million units per month. As the first-ever device to achieve a 47µH inductance rating in 0603 case size (1.6 x 0.8 x 0.8mm), the LBMF1608 is 33% smaller by volume than equivalent-rated 0805 inductors typically used in the IC input power circuits of cell phones, PDAs, still/video cameras and other mobile digital equipment.
