Tiny AVX Inductor offers tolerance as tight as 0.05nH
AVX has released a tight tolerance L0402 LGA inductor based on thin-film technology, providing excellent high frequency performance and rugged construction for reliable automatic assembly. Thin film technology allows for the deposition of low ESR line width structures to the micron and below level. These small structures yield extremely tight tolerance inductors in virtually any value, and as tight as 0.05nH in low value 0402 devices.
Limit switch range provides thousands of options
Carlo Gavazzi has introduced a comprehensive range of over 8000 limit switches to complement its existing portfolio of position and level sensors. Developed in response to customer demand, the switches are offered in thousands of body, head and contact-block options, both standard limit switches and safety types. There are models with plastic and metal bodies in six different sizes, 10 contact-block variants and over 50 alternative heads in plast...
Avago Expands Dual-Supply Voltage Optocoupler Family
Avago Technologies has announced the latest addition to its line of high-speed digital CMOS optocouplers. At 25 Megabaud (MBd), the new ACPL-772L is the industry's fastest, dual-supply voltage (3.3 V and 5 V) optocoupler in a DIP-8 package. With its unprecedented speed and the ability to support up to 5 kV in isolation voltage protection, the ACPL-772L is ideal for not only high-speed data-line transmission applications, but also those operating ...
2- and 4-pole power relays from Finder
Finder has announced an update to its 56 series relays, which now provide enhanced functionality during installation and test. The updated series of 2-pole and 4-pole power relays feature as standard on all models a test button and mechanical indicator for manual operation during test and commissioning.
Ultra-slim Scrollwheel Input Device for Portables from Avago
Avago Technologies has introduced an easy to use ultra-slim scrollwheel input device for use in mobile phones, portable audio and video players, and entertainment consoles. The company is a leading supplier of innovative semiconductor solutions for advanced communications, industrial and commercial applications.
Avago's SSR's Give Highest Voltage Insulation in Miniature Packaging
Avago Technologies used electronica to introduce three new families of solid state relays (SSRs) with a claimed industry's highest insulation voltage in a miniature SO-4 package size. Achieving an industry high of 3.75 kV in insulation protection, Avago's expanded family of SSRs with MOSFET outputs enable designers to improve power efficiency, performance and reliability in low- and high-current circuitries often found in telecommunications, cons...
New AVX capacitor virtually eliminates short-circuit failure
Passives specialist AVX has produced a ceramic capacitor designed to virtually eliminate the risk of short-circuit failure. FLEXISAFE components are terminated with the FLEXITERM layer to absorb shock and prevent internal cracking resulting from board flexure and temperature cycling damage.
Focus EDL introduces TVS devices from 400 to 15000W
Focus EDL’s appointment by leading discretes manufacturer EIC gives its customers access to what is recognized as the industry’s widest range of transient voltage suppressors (TVS). With the trend towards lower voltages and higher integration, particularly in MOS devices and low power ICs, TVS devices are increasingly necessary for protection against over-voltage situations. They are used in a wide variety of applications such as power suppl...
DH ultraminiature switch from Cherry
Cherry Electrical Products has announced its new DH ultraminiature switch. Measuring just 8.2 x 2.7 x 6.2 mm these devices offer a maximum switching voltage of 30VDC and a maximum switched current between 300 and 500mADC, depending on model. With a mechanical life of over 50,000 operations, parts operate between -25 and +70degC.
Metal switch snaps into tight spaces
Schurter has announced today the addition of a new mounting technology to its range of metal switches. The switches are assembled from the front side of the equipment and then force fitted into the front panel. Thus, these new metallic switches with snap in technology enable quick and efficient assembly in buildings, controllers or equipment with limited or no access from the rear. Such applications include hollow sections used in buildings or eq...
