Tyco Electronics introduced today a new line of PolySwitch circuit protection devices for the automotive market. The AHEF family of devices helps provide resettable overcurrent protection for bus and truck wire harnesses utilizing 24V electrical systems.

knitter-switch has made available a new series of sealed tact switches that are ideal for a variety of industrial and medical systems applications where protection to IP67 is required.

With the EMC filter series, Tyco Electronics extends its catalogue range to include a new high-performance, universally applicable single-phase filter for current ratings of up to 30A. Due to its two-stage construction and use of high-quality components, this extremely compact dual-circuit filter series delivers high common mode and differential mode attenuation over the entire frequency range of 100KHz to 30MHz.

A regular exhibitor at the World’s largest electronics exhibition, knitter-switch has also timed the launch of its latest product catalog to coincide with the show and visitors to the company’s booth will be the first to get their copy.

Covering the company’s entire product range, Finder’s 2009/10 product catalogue provides electrical and electronic system designers and buyers with a one-stop reference for relays, timers, interface modules, sockets and accessories. For commercial lighting control duties, the catalogue presents Finder’s new generation of light dependent relays, time switches, electronic step relays and dimmers, staircase timers and PIR movement detectors.

As part of its product range extensions the company is now able to offer filters for power applications where high current ratings are required.

The SL range of ceramic based filters represents an extension to the company's SF range of filters with the added features of hermetic construction, wound coil inductors and iron powder cores for improved high current performance. Electrical configurations include 'C', 'L-C' and Pi-section, with current ratings up to 100A. With working voltages up to 450Vdc, the maximum capacitance is 2.8µF.

The Series 151 is a compact, push-pull solenoid from Dialight BLP that has an unusual design. Now supplied in the UK from Aerco, the S151 is based on a tubular design but offers a relatively large force capability over a short stroke range.

C&K Components has developed a series of low profile tactile switches that combine ultra-low current consumption and extended operational life. Designated the KMR Series, the switches feature an operating current of only 1µA at 1.8VDC, actuation forces to 4N and a life span to 300,000 cycles, making them ideally suited for mobile applications.

ON Semiconductor has announced the release of a new family of low capacitance Thyristor Surge Protection Devices (TSPD) designed to protect the next generation of high speed telecom equipment. The new devices provide a superior balance of small size combined with high surge capabilities while maintaining low capacitance and low leakage, an ideal combination for leading edge telecom products.
