Maxim has introduced the MAX14527/MAX14528 overvoltage protectors (OVPs) designed to protect low-voltage systems against voltage faults up to 28V. These devices employ an internal low, 100milliohm (typ) Ron MOSFET to prevent damage to circuitry from overvoltage conditions. This integration eliminates the need for an external n-channel MOSFET, thus saving board space and reducing cost.

C&K Components has developed a subminiature snap switch with extended life cycles and high electrical capabilities. Designated the LCA Series, the compact, RoHS-compatible switches are available in SPDT and SPST configurations with solder, quick connect, or PC terminals.

Murata has developed a new series of chip ferrite beads, the BLM18KG series, that achieves between 1.5 times and double the rated current of Murata's previous series of chip ferrite beads.
