Vishay selects critical manufacturing MES for passives
Vishay Intertechnology has selected Critical Manufacturing’s Manufacturing Execution System (MES) as its new software standard for its business unit Passives. Following the implementation of a pilot plant in Yankton, South Dakota, Vishay plans to roll the new MES out to 30 of its global plants over the next years.
Aluminium electrolytic screw terminal capacitors released
What if engineers could save 30% on room and weight, for a given energy storage function? This is now reportedly achievable with EXXELIA's new FELSIC HC series of aluminium electrolytic screw terminal capacitors.
Long-life capacitor works at temperatures to +125°C
New Yorker Electronics has stocks of the new Vishay BC Components 190 RTL Aluminum Capacitors for increased design flexibility and board space in high temperature applications.
RMCW wide terminal thick film chip resistors in stock
Industrial and commercial power electronics demand robust resistor performance. When high stability and low thermal resistance are important, standard chip resistors may not be the best solution. Chip resistors with reverse geometry provide terminations on the long sides of the chip, as opposed to the short side terminal for standard chips.
Film capacitor deals with harsh environments
New Yorker Electronics has announced the launch and release of the Exxelia Dearborn 560P film capacitor product series. The 560P is designed as a cost-effective solution for high reliability and for performance in severe environments.
Improved power rating for precision chip resistors
Stackpole recently enhanced their RNCF0402 size Nichrome precision chip resistor, increasing the power rating to 0.1W for resistance values from 4.7 ohms to 255K for 0.1% tolerances and 25 ppm TCR. This improved power rating allows the RNCF0402 to be used for applications that may normally require an 0603 or 0805 size chip resistor enabling downsizing and making added functionality much easier.
Low ESL chip MLCCs for ADAS applications
Murata has introduced the ultra-thin LW reversed, low equivalent series inductor (ESL) multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) with a capacitance value of 1.0µF ±20% for 4VDC-rated automotive applications.
Chipset specific integrated passive devices for IoT
For the next generation of low-cost, battery operated, wireless IoT products, the design goal is to provide RF signal range and stability, while also reducing power consumption, in a miniaturised package. As a result, RF chipset manufacturers are increasingly fine-tuning and improving their products. Johanson Technology has released a chipset specific integrated passive device designed to do just this.
Ferrite chip beads for automotive applications
Murata has announced the release of the BLM18KN_EH series of ferrite chip beads for noise suppression in power lines at temperatures up to 175°C. Target applications are automotive equipment such as engine and transmission electronic control units (ECUs) and turbo motor controllers, with the components meeting AEC-Q200 qualification requirements.
Automotive grade capacitors offer long life of 6000 hours
A new series of low impedance, Automotive Grade miniature aluminium electrolytic capacitors that combine high ripple currents up to 3.36 A with high temperature operation to +125 °C and very long useful life of 6,000 h at 125 °C has been released by The Optoelectronics group of Vishay Intertechnology.
