Foremost Electronics has announced the Navimec switch concept from leading switch manufacturer MEC which offers soft-touch joystick functionality making it possible to navigate up, down, left and right with the provision of a centre function that will typically be used as an enter key. Navimec switches are available with or without illumination and the non-illuminated versions may be over-printed with appropriate legends.

Murata has developed a capacitor end termination technology that significantly reduces the risk of damage when subject to bending stress. The GCJ and GRJ series of MLCCs incorporate the company's new 'soft' termination technology, and are based on Murata's leading GCM and GRM series of MLCCs for automotive (GCJ) and consumer device (GRJ) applications. The GCJ series is AEC-Q200 compliant.

TT electronics’ BI Technologies has developed a comprehensive line of slide potentiometers to complement its existing line of panel potentiometers and encoders for pro-audio applications. Murata has introduced the LQH88P_38 series of power inductors, supporting up to 8A rated current. These inductors measure 8 x 8 mm (3131-size) with a low profile of just 3.8 mm (typical) and are designed for use in DC-DC converters for flat panel TVs, set-top boxes, recording devices, wireless base stations and other consumer electronics applications.

AVX Corporation, a leading manufacturer of advanced passive components and interconnect solutions, has further expanded its high-voltage surface mount capacitor offering to include smaller case sizes, higher voltage ranges and higher capacitance values.
