Switchtec’s multi-functional, modular sounders and beacons take signalling devices to a whole new level

The M-Line range comprises three model types: SIR-E (sounder), SIR-E LED (beacon/sounder), and FLR (beacon). The high optical performances of the beacons, together with the strong sound output of the sounders makes M-Line a high-end range for the most demanding applications. After a series of rigorous tests, M-Line has been granted IP65 status. This is a very high rating - especially for sounders that need holes to allow sound to propagate - making this product ideal also for outdoor applications.

The range’s unique modular concept allows each of the three domes to be mounted on any of the five bases, drastically reducing on the number of parts stocked and allowing professionals to be much more reactive to market needs.
M-Line’s three multi-functional domes are based on a multi-level technology allowing each function of the device to be controlled independently, creating different levels of alarm, delivering ‘intelligent’ solutions to the most demanding applications.

The FLR beacons feature a high level of optical performance, allowing three separate lighting effects - steady, rotating and flashing. ‘Steady’ is a deep and rich light source ideal for attracting attention yet without a great amount of disturbance. ‘Rotating’ is a unique effect that perfectly simulates traditional rotating beacons yet without moving parts hence enormously enhancing the product lifetime. ‘Flashing’ is a triple-flash strobe effect ideal for all applications where an immediate attention gain is mandatory.

FLR and SIR-E domes are available in four colours: red, amber, green and blue all with SMD LED technology that offers longer lifetime and better resistance to vibration. Multi voltage bases comprise 12/24V AC/DC and 90/240V AC in three physical types: shallow, deep and wall mounting.

SIR-E LED sounder/beacons feature three functions; warning, alarm 1, and alarm 2, all controllable independently via separate dip switches. The first level of alarm is a powerful triple-flash strobe effect that guarantees catching attention and warn operators of a potential danger or change of operating modes. The second alarm level is again a triple-flash strobe effect combined with an electronic sound output of up to 105dB, ideal for alerting staff to a danger or a serious change of operational circumstances. The third level of alarm is a powerful steady light combined with a sound output of up to 105dB, ideal for alerting staff to a permanent change of operational circumstances. Both alarm 1 and alarm 2 feature 32 different sounds selectable via a dip switch. The SIR-E sounder range shares the same alarm 1 and alarm 2 features and characteristics as the SIR-E LED sounder/beacons.

All M-Line acoustic domes (SIR-E and SIR-E LED) adopt Sirena’s brand new ‘realTime’ feature that allows modifying sounds via dip switches without the need of powering down the device, allowing power-on operations on machinery. The volume of the acoustic domes can also be adjusted and lowered to a minimum of 65dB – remembering that not all applications require ear splitting volume levels.

Each component of the M-Line range has been engineered with an easy snap-on technology that allows easy and safe installation procedures in the most challenging of environments.
