Realistic candle showcases Natural Vision VxRGB technology
Available as a realistic candle (Classic B) and MR16 retrofit LED lamps, Verbatim has today announced the launch of its ground-breaking Natural Vision VxRGB technology. Launched at Lux Live, the True Candlelight LED lamps allow users to experience the warmth and ambience of candlelight.
The True Candlelight LED lamp is achieved by using the proprietary VxRGB technology developed by Verbatim’s parent company Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation. Delivering 1900K colour temperature, the white light spectrum and intensity of the LED closely matches a real candle flame – a feature not possible with traditional LED or incandescent lamps and something that has inspired this product to be positioned as ‘Natural Vision’. Ideal for use in decorative lighting fixtures such as chandeliers, wall sconces and table settings, the 2.5W VxRGB candle LED has an E14 base fitting and optics that feature a flame tip design.
Verbatim’s VxRGB Natural Vision range also includes a 6.5W MR16 Natural Vision LED lamp that produces 170 lumens output and have a CRI of 97 and a correlated colour temperature (CCT) of 2950K. Benefiting from a unique phosphor mixture to achieve high CRI with a well-balanced spectrum to generate a cosy ambience and also suitable also for retail or museum lighting to highlight objects in their true natural light, the MR16 LED lamp with 25° beam angle uses diamond cut optics to ensure glare-free illumination.
“Verbatim’s VxRGB technology has already been appreciated by many key customers and we anticipate huge demand for Natural Vision LEDs. With unique correlated colour temperatures such as 1900K, this new series of lamps can help create better comfort in living spaces and more creative lighting effects while delivering the long life, energy savings and low heat benefits of LED lighting technology,” comments Jeanine Chrobak, Business Development Manager LED EUMEA, Verbatim.
The Natural Vision MR16 LED lamp will be stocked from early 2014 while the True Candlelight LED is already commercially available.
