Promptec launches power saving LED Street Light
Promptec Renewable Energy Solutions, the pioneer and industry leader in LED Lighting, Solar lighting and Power Electronics solutions, today announced the launch of Optima Series of LED Street Light, a high performance, feature-rich LED street Light series catering to all the requirements of Street Lighting. Three models of LED street lights were launched to cover 10W to 75W of power and are targeted to replace 20W to 150W conventional street lights thus saving more than 50% of power consumed when compared to conventional street light sources such as compact fluorescent lamps (CFL), Fluorescent tube lights (FTL), high pressure sodium vapour (HPSV), or metal halide (MH) lamps. Promptec’s Optima series LED street lights are certified by Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) on ingress protection with a grading of IP-66 and various electrical operational and safety parameters. Promptec LED lights are also certified for uniform light distribution and lumen output by UL laboratories.
The Promptec’s Optima series consists of 3 models, PASL-126 covering 15-25W, PASL-128 covering 30-45W and PASL-130 covering 50-75W specifications. Some examples of replacement for existing conventional lights are 20W LED model replaces 44W fluorescent tube light, 40W LED model replaces 86W HPSV model and 75W LED model replaces 170W HPS model.
“Our latest Optima series LED Street light represents a breakthrough in the street lighting technology. The water and dust resistant LED Street light is the new generation LED Street light built with international standards for over voltage protection, surge protection, over current protection, and over heat protection, said Mr. Kiran Moras, Director, Promptec. Our goal is to provide the right LED technology with the right price to save energy and significant amount of money. As a company, we don't just speak on catalyzing a clean energy future; but we lead and light the way.
The effective lumen output of Promptec LED Street light are at 80 lumens/watt where as the conventional lights vary from 35 to 40 lumens/watt. This is the primary reason why LED lights save 50% energy. The well-designed LEDs are expected to last for 50,000 to 80,000 burning hours and coupling these LEDs with smart controls can extend its life span even further; unlike conventional lights which have to be replaced once every 18 months for 12 hours daily usage.
