Osram presents highlights for motorcycle & scooter lighting at Intermot 2016

Strong performance: Osram Night Racer

See and be seen – for motorcyclists and scooter riders it could be a matter of life or death. The exceptional output and cool white light from the Night Racer 110, 90 and 50 lamps from Osram's performance portfolio provide excellent visibility in a wide range of conditions for greater safety on the road. Compared to standard halogen lamps the Night Breaker 110 provides up to 110% more light. Its light beam is up to 40m longer so obstacles ca be seen much sooner.

A cool addition to any bike: Osram X-Racer

The modern silver cap and bluish white xenon-like light of the X-Racer family will add unique style to any motorbike or scooter. Visitors to the Osram booth at Intermot can see for themselves as the lamp has been fitted to a BMW bike. The X-Racer is not only stylish, it also offers excellent performance. It is up to 20% brighter than standard halogen lamps and has a color temperature of up to 4,200 Kelvin. Like the Night Racer, the H4 and H7 models in the Osram X-Racer range come in a double blister pack with a miniature motorcycle helmet that securely holds the spare lamp.

Ideal for upgrading: the Osram original family

Their excellent price/performance ratio makes the lamps from Osram's original series ideal upgrades for any two-wheeler. Available for motorbikes and scooters, these halogen lamps offer high quality at an affordable price, and their intelligent technology prevents blackening of the bulb, which is a usual phenomenon with incandescent lamps. This in turn extends the time between lamp replacements.

The right lamp for any two-wheeler

To enable scooter riders also to benefit from Osram's individual lighting solutions the Night Racer, X-Racer and original product families include HS1, S1 and S2 models which are used specifically on scooters. As is the case with the motorcycle lamps, the revised packaging concept with unique color codes ensures that customers can instantly identify the right product for their needs. The lamps in the performance series will appear in bright red packaging, the design series in blue packaging and the original series in typical Osram orange packaging.

The durability of all Osram lamps for motorcycles and scooters is confirmed in heavy-duty tests designed for commercial vehicles which involve continuous simulated background noise and vibrations. These high-quality lamps are therefore ideal for the unusually high loads caused by speed and changing road surfaces. Thanks to their high resistance to vibrations the lamps make a tour over country roads just as pleasant as a trip across town.
