Marvel introduces mass production ready LED retrofit lamp refrence design kit

These turnkey LED solutions have undergone rigorous pre-testing, a process that typically takes OEMs four-to-six months, significantly reducing lighting manufacturers time-to-market. The designs also meet critical environmental and regulatory specifications, as well as safety requirements.



Building high performance and cost effective retrofit light bulbs requires intimate system knowledge to optimize the characteristics of the system design. The A19 40 watt equivalent LED lamp reference design uses the Marvell 88EM8081 Digital Flyback LED Controller and LUXEON A LEDs. The lamp is designed to consume 6.5W power to deliver 475lm at 3,000K CCT with color reading indicator (CRI) great than 80. The LED reference design works with universal AC voltage input with 0.99 power factor and under 10 percent total harmonic distortion.
