Low-watt LEDs set size and efficiency benchmark
Marl International has launched its new low wattage LED range which sets new benchmarks for ultra-compact size combined with high efficiency and exceptional uniformity for linear and other array applications.
The Believed to be one of the most compact discrete LED devices on the planet, the Citizen 0.06W CLL801 is just 1.6mm x 0.8mm x 0.9mm. These tiny devices can deliver up to 6.5 lumens from a forward current of 20mA at 3.2V, giving an efficiency of up to 102 lumens per watt for the 5000K colour temperature Ra80 device. Colour temperatures of 4000K, 3500K, 3000K and 2700K are also available and a 6500K version is planned.
Marl is also offering the Citizen 0.1W CLL611 and the 0.2W CLL130 series LED die, with the same range of colour temperatures as the CLL801 above. Aimed at linear fluorescent light replacements, the 0.2W LED die offers exceptional efficiency up to 139 lumens per Watt from a package of just 2.0mm x 1.6mm x 0.75mm. The 0.1W device is slightly smaller, at 2.0mm x 0.8mm x 0.9mm and offers an efficiency of up to 127 lumens per Watt.
