To predict light behaviour, LED light modelling and human vision simulation design service are being offered by VCC. These services provide a complete analysis of all photometric and colourimetric characteristics of any product design. Cross section, contrast, iso-curves, spectral and chromaticity coordinates are combined for analysis.

This combination allows the company to consider the optical properties of surfaces, materials, and light sources using actual data on light intensity, uniformity, contract, propagation and distribution. With this, light behaviour can be predicted and potential hot spots identified. This keeps programme development on schedule and delivers the best optical performance for a customer’s application, resulting in a more cost-effective design.

VCC can use it's light modelling and human vision simulation technology to modify existing products or integrate existing modular components as building blocks into customer existing products. The technology can also be used to design and manufacture a complete custom solution that enhances the delivery of light. Such solutions include LED light pipes, special function panel indication, indicator assemblies and LED lenses. With the light modelling and simulation services, OEMS can solve challenging light pipe applications involving the delivery of light.
