Cree Delivers Brightest and Most-Efficient Lighting-Class LED Array
Cree, Inc. announces full availability of the industry’s first lighting-class LED array that help reduce overall system cost by combining superior efficacy, ease-of-design and ease-of-manufacture. The Cree XLamp® CXA2011 LED array is designed to deliver the smooth light output and consistent color needed for applications such as omnidirectional bulbs or directional downlights.
“T“Combining fast and flexible system design with ease-of-manufacturing, the CXA2011 LED array helps customers quickly create a broad range of LED-based designs,” said Mike Watson, Cree senior director of marketing, LED components. “Lower system cost and quicker time-to-market are keys to accelerating the LED lighting revolution.”
Easy-to-use screw-mounts simplify the manufacturing and design process by eliminating the need for complex design-specific engineering and reflow soldering. With the CXA2011, Cree leads the way on color accuracy by extending the industry’s largest offering of LEDs characterized at real-world operating temperatures (85 C).
The CXA2011 LED array delivers up to 4000 lumens at an operating temperature of 85 C (1A, 5000 K) in a single component. It is available in 2-step and 4-step EasyWhite™ options, delivering the industry’s tightest LED-to-LED color consistency—reducing system complexity and making light source selection as easy as specifying a color temperature.
