Seoul Semiconductor, launching New Acriche 2

The newly introduced Acriche 2 has been increased more than 90% in power efficiency by improving the power factor up to 97% comparing to previous version of ‘Acrich’ of Seoul Semiconductor, and the THD has become lower than 25% to comply with the requirement of each country including DOE and others. Through cutting edge technology on IC, the lighting manufactures can be directly pluged into the wall without considering any electrical conditions.

General LED bulb are using electrolytic condenser, which is shown below picture, so that the bulb temperature goes up to over 70℃. And it causes short life time, less than 10,000 hours. Analyzing famous brand products, some brand’s power factor ranges to 0.5. Then it will be resulted in 2 times less efficiency even though it has the same 100lm/W efficiency on LED level.

John Bae, saying “Acrich 2 is the pride of nation”, vice president of Seoul Semiconductor, claimed that “high cost, low efficiency and short lifetime which are critical issues of LED bulb can be resolved through Acrich 2. Seoul Semiconductor, as a worldwide brand company, is licensing Acrich to world famous companies and additional licensing deal is under negotiation.” commenting the company mission which is “enrich better life through Acrich”.
