A walk on the Planck curve: M-LEDlight tunable white concept from Mentor
The color temperature (CCT) of the concept module is continuously adjustable and remains at a consistently high color rendition index (CRI). By controlling three different LEDs, the CCT is configured along the Planck curve in the area from 2700K to 6500K. Mentor will present the new light concept for the first time at the Light + Building in April 2012: hall 4.0 stand G20
DeveIn order to enable an effective light yield, the light is focused in the reflector of the light engine. At the same time, the homogenous white light mix of the various high performance LEDs is thus ensured. By means of delicately determined design adjustments of the reflector body, the light is then given out in the desired lighting beam. An additional diffuser at the light outlet softly scatters the light.
The M-LEDlight fulfils the stringent requirements of efficiency class A and convinces with a high CRI (Ra > 80–90). The brightness of the light engine can be dimmed.
The luminaire module convinces with a variety of options in respect of individual light concepts: by means of the M-LEDlight (as a room light) simulating the real time course of daylight, areas and rooms without windows can be used optimally. Differently controlled M-LEDlights in a room create flexible areas and scenes of light (for example conference halls with presentation and work areas) and facilitate an optical separation. The variable adjustable CCT supports concentrated work or promotes buying incentives in product presentations and shop lighting.
The M-LEDlight will be presented to the public as part of Light + Building from 15th to 20th April 2012 in Frankfurt at the trade fair stand of the light specialists Mentor in hall 4.0 stand G20.
