MAX11102 Family: 3/2Msps, 2-/1-channel, 12-/10-/8-bit ADCs extend battery life
Broadening its industry-leading portfolio of 12-/10-/8-bit ADCs, Maxim introduced the MAX11102 family of low-power ADCs. This family is composed of nine devices available in different resolution (12-/10-/8-bit), channel-count (2/1), and conversion-rate (3/2Msps) configurations. Designed to extend battery life in portable electronics, the devices offer a maximum power consumption of only 9.9mW, which is 32% lower than the competition.
AddiProviding power savings without compromising performance, this family of ADCs yields an industry-leading worst-case SNR of 70.5dB and SINAD of 70dB. The digital interface operates from 1.5V to 3.6V, allowing direct connection to a wide range of SPI(TM)-based host devices without a level shifter.
Pin-for-pin compatibility between devices allows designers to change resolution without redesigning their board or control software.
