Conexant reveal a partnership with LG Electronics for multi-phase integration of Conexant’s industry-leading Far-Field Voice Input technology in LG’s range of stylish, innovative and reliable home appliances such as air conditioners and vacuum robots. Far-Field Voice Input Processing solutions provide clean, noise-free speech signals for voice-control of appliance settings, enabling highly accurate speech recognition for voice command and control at extremely low power.

Conexant’s Far-Field Voice Processing Suite – a combination of algorithms including ambient noise reduction, de-reverberation and selective source pickup – and Conexant’s high-performance audio processors such as the CX20865 offer a feature set that is highly desired by Conexant’s partners looking to provide consumers with a richer user experience.

Conexant’s CX20865 platform with integrated quad 24-bit high-performance analog-to-digital converters, enhances voice control performance in the presence of random stationary and non-stationary ambient interference, enabling live demos in the retail environment and tradeshows while enhancing the usability of various voice controlled home appliances.

The CX20865 is the industry leading Far Field Voice Input Processor SoC, designed for Voice Interactive applications. The device includes high-performance Microphone ADCs, powerful dual core 32-bit hardware DSP, and integrated Power Management. Combined with our advanced Far Field Voice Processing Algorithms, it is the ideal turnkey solution for adding Voice Control, Voice Search, Telepresence functionalities to SmartTV, Set-Top-Box, and Game Console appliances.

The CX20865 supports a microphone array with up to four synchronized ADCs and programmable preamplifiers. Each preamplifier is paired with a dedicated bias supply to eliminate crosstalk. The entire input path guarantees 106 dB Dynamic Range, which maximizes Speech to Noise ratio with low boost and prevents microphone saturation.
