The new family of DSCs also brings new features while lowering power consumption, enabling higher efficiency in AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies, HID & LED lighting, solar inverters, and other pow...
ADE7913 A/D converter ensures energy meter magnetic immunity
Analog Devices has today launched the industry’s first fully isolated A/D converter designed for polyphase energy metering applications. The ADE7913 3-channel, sigma-delta A/D converter incorporates Analog Devices’ patented iCoupler and isoPower technologies to implement isolated signal transfer and dc-to-dc power conversion across a 5kV-rated insulation barrier.
ADI's ADE7978 Isolated Metrology Chipset Ensures Energy Meter Magnetic Immunity
Analog Devices today introduced the industry’s first fully isolated metrology chipset designed for polyphase energy metering applications. The ADE7978 metrology chipset includes the ADE7978 3-phase metrology IC combined with up to four ADE7933 fully isolated A/D converter ICs.
Maxim Integrated’s Digital Class D Speaker Amplifiers Significantly Simplify Design and Provide Unmatched Audio Performance
Maxim Integrated introduces two digital-input Class D power amplifiers that simplify designs, eliminate complicated programming, reduce noise, and hasten time to market. The MAX98355 (pulse-code modulation, PCM) and MAX98356 (pulse-density modulation, PDM) offer best-in-class clock jitter tolerance in Class D audio amplifiers and deliver superior audio quality.
Pentek’s Quad 1.25 GHz DAC Extends Signal Bandwidth Range for Beamforming and Software Radio
Pentek today released its highest-performing Digital-to-Analogue converter module for RF and IF waveform playback, the Cobalt Model 71671. The module delivers four independent analogue outputs each through its own digital upconverter and 16-bit D/A with sampling rates to 1.25 GHz.
3 High-Speed Transmit DAC's for Aerospace and Defence Applications
ADI has today extended its aerospace and defence portfolio the launch of three high-performance 16- and 14-bit transmit Digital-to-Analogue converters with extended operating temperature ranges and high-reliability packaging for radar, secure communications, avionics, and other defence electronics applications.
ETLG Inertial Aerosystems announce HTADC 12 Analogue-to-Digital Converter
ETLG Inertial Aerosystems have announced a 14 pin version of the popular 28 pin, high temperature 12 bit analogue to digital converter manufactured by U.S. based Honeywell. Designated the HTADC 12, the component is available in packaged or die form. It is designed to enable reliable measurement and control in high temperature environments such as those experienced in deep drilling operations and inside jet engines.
EEG AFE from TI for non-invasive brain wave monitoring
TI has today announced an expansion of its award-winning ADS1298 analog front end family today with the industry’s lowest-noise electroencephalography AFE, enabling non-invasive monitoring of brain waves. The 24-bit, 8-channel ADS1299 is the first simultaneously sampling EEG AFE with input-referred-noise as low as 1 uVpp, more than 75-percent lower than the alternative EEG AFEs.
Industry’s first Audio Mixer Development Boards
Microchip announces two new digital audio mixer boards based on low pin-count 32-bit PIC32 microcontrollers. The DM320014 USB digital audio accessory board uses standard USB 2.0 Mini-B connectivity; whilst the DM320413 digital audio mixer board offers Apple portable device connectivity. These two development boards, each powered by a Microchip PIC32MX250F128 32-bit MCU, enable audio and voice device development for a broad range of applications.
ADC for Medical and Industrial Applications
ADI has today revealed the introduction of the first product in a series of ultra-low-power, 12-bit, 1-MSPS SAR analogue-to-digital converters with internal 2.5-V reference. The new A/D converter is designed for USB or battery powered data acquisition modules, handheld meters, field instruments, energy harvesting applications and medical devices such as portable electrocardiograms and heart rate monitors.
