Mixed Signal/Analog
Audio mixed signal chipset designed for Huawei Honor FlyPods
Dialog Semiconductor has announced that its audio and Configurable Mixed Signal ICs (CMICs) have been adopted by Huawei for their HONOR FlyPods, the company’s latest True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds. A Dialog’s SmartBeat DA14195 System-on-Chip (SoC) is integrated into each FlyPod earbud and is connected to a pair of Voice Pick Up (VPU) sensors.
Using a mixed signal ASIC for industrial applications
Mixed signal ASICs are used in many industrial applications such as manufacturing and process automation, power monitoring, and human/machine interface.
PCIe packet switches offer low power solutions
The line of PCI Express (PCIe) Gen 2.0 solutions at Diodes Inc has been extended with four new 3- and 4-port, 4-lane packet switches, designed to meet the needs of 5G, IoT, and AI networks. They are well suited for applications such as 5G/LTE, Wi-Fi Routers, STB, security systems, IPC, NAS and other power-sensitive, high-performance networks.
High voltage technology for OLED source driver IC
It has been announced by MagnaChip Semiconductor, that it now offers foundry customers its second generation 0.13 micron 18V high voltage process technology. The technology, which is dedicated for designing source drivers for LCD and OLED televisions, offers fewer steps, allows suitable high voltage device design rules to shrink chip size and adds a new device for DAC block design compared to the first generation process.
Automation accelerates analogue design reuse projects by up to 50%
Thalia Design Automation has introduced advanced analogue schematic porting capabilities within its AMALIA analogue design automation tool suite. Configured for users of TSMC, Global Foundries, UMC, SMIC, and in-house technologies of Tier 1 design companies, the AMALIA schematic porting capability is already proven in analogue migration projects to achieve design time savings of up to 50%.

This video highlights the application note AN-1436 from Analog Devices.
DACs offer noise performance in laser-drive applications
This technical note from Texas Instruments explores the benefits of using high density, high-precision Digital to Analog Converters (DACs) and Operational Amplifiers (OPAMPs) in laser drive applications. It will demonstrate that with these devices and some discrete components, a high precision solution can be created and easily modified to accommodate different current-output requirements and power-supply specifications.
Reinventing data converters with design resources
The data converter learning center features analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and digital-to-analog converter (DAC) system design resources, and introduces users to product and tools that can redefine the way you design. Included is a large portfolio of analog-to-digital converters, providing ultra-high speed, precision and isolation.
Choosing the best ADC architecture
This video series from Texas Instruments provides information about the differences between the architectures of successive approximation register analog-to-digital converters (SAR ADCs) and delta-sigma ADCs. The videos are intended to help customers know how to choose the best ADC architecture for their application.
Channel power MOSFET driver provides footprint reduction
Allegro MicroSystems has announced the AMT49105, its newest ISO-26262 compliant N-channel power MOSFET driver. The AMT49105 simplifies motor systems designs and provides footprint reduction by integrating power analogue systems requirements.
