The increased offer means RS now features over 11,000 TI products and has the most up-to-date range of Microchip microcontrollers and development kits available to design engineers. New introductions from Microchip include the company’s PIC® Microcontroller nanoWatt XLP family, offering new industry benchmarks for the lowest sleep current consumption. XLP technology provides design engineers with a rich and compatible low-power migration path that includes on-chip peripherals for USB and mTouch™.

Features of the PIC MCUs with nanoWatt XLP technology include sleep currents down to 20nA, real-time clock currents down to 500nA and watchdog timer currents down to 400nA, making the range ideal for any battery-powered or power-constrained application. Microchip has integrated all three features into its 8-bit and 16-bit XLP series, providing more freedom for designers who need products to operate longer while using less battery power.
