Advanced features of the PSOC Control microcontroller include the high-performance ADC and an integrated coordinate rotation digital computer (CORDIC) accelerator.
With true synchronous idle sampling of up to 16 analog signals from the single-core ADC, up to 25% faster results are possible without any sampling jitter. The CORDIC accelerator can off-load CPU and increase computational power for real-time critical tasks such as field-oriented motor control algorithms.
In addition, the programmable timer/counter pulse-width modulator (TCPWM) has a motion interface (MOTIF) block that can be used to communicate motor control signals. This unique combination of power and performance will bring the next generation of industrial solutions to market.
