Holtek introduce new enhanced A/D flash microcontrollers
Holtek introduce two new device additions to its Enhanced A/D Flash Type range, the HT66F0174 and HT66F0172. These new devices, in line with other devices in the range, meet with industrial specification requirements of -40 ~ 85 degrees Celsius operating temperature and high noise immunity. The new MCUs have a Flash Program Memory capacity of 2Kx16 bits, an SRAM Data Memory capacity of 128 bytes and 18 I/O pins.
The The complete device series includes Holtek’s new Timer Modules which offer five different operating modes. These operating modes are Input Capture, Compare Match Output, Timer/Event Counter, Single Pulse Output and PWM output. All devices contain an internal 12-bit high speed analog to digital converter.
The HT66F0172 includes three oscillator options, a high frequency crystal oscillator, a fully internal low frequency 32kHz RC oscillator and a fully integrated high frequency RC oscillator. The HT66F0174 provides four oscillator options; in addition to the three oscillators of the HT66F0172, it also provides a low frequency 32.76832kHz crystal oscillator. The HT66F0174 also has a 64-byte area of EEPROM which can be used to store non-volatile data such as production process parameters or product parameters and data. Both devices are supplied in 20-pin DIP, SOP and SSOP package types.
Holtek also fully supports these devices with its comprehensive hardware and software development tools. One of these tools is the e-Link, which is a new generation OCDS structure in-circuit debug adapter. When used together with the HT-IDE3000 software development system, users are provided with a suite of development tools to directly debug their application boards which includes trace analysis features. Holtek’s e-WriterPro is a writer which supports ICP to provide a means of easy program updates and development. Holtek also offers a range of application guides to ensure developers have their designs up and running in the shortest time possible.
