Holtek announce the release of its new 16-pin high noise immunity device range, the HT48R01x and HT46R01x. The HT48R01x series contains two devices, namely the HT48R016 and HT48R017 while the HT46R01x series also contain two devices, namely the HT46R016 and HT46R017.
The HT46R01x devices include an embedded 12-bit A/D converter and an 8-bit PWM generator, functions which extensively reduce the need for peripheral components, resulting in the added benefits of reduced PCB size and cost. Their precision internal system frequency oscillator further adds to these features and make these new devices suitable for use in applications such as small household appliances.

Some of the special characteristics of the HT48R01x and HT46R01x can be seen in their industrial quality specifications (-40~85℃), operating voltage range of 2.2V~5.5V, multi-function I/O pins, high speed 12-bit A/D converter, PWM function, internal RC oscillator, power-down and wake-up functions. This comprehensive range of features together offers a new range of highly competitive MCU devices with superior functions and characteristics. These two new device ranges will see excellent use in areas such as household appliances within which could include hair care products, electronic hobs, electric fans, food processors, chargers, vacuum cleaners etc. to name only a few. Presently, market attention is strongly focused on devices with excellent price/performance ratios, and in this respect these new Holtek devices conform well, giving them the capabilities to provide excellent MCU solutions to meet the needs of the modern household application area.

As is the case with other 8-bit Holtek MCUs, these new devices have high noise immunity as well as Watchdog and LVR protection features that give excellent immunity against malfunction or erroneous operation. The whole series is supplied in 16-pin DIP and NSOP package types.
