Holtek HT45R2K-C/B/A Dual Slope A/D type MCU for Body Fat Measurement

Holtek unveils its new 8-bit OTP dual slope A/D type MCUs, the HT45R2K-C/B/A. The devices include special integrated features for Body Fat Measurements as well as touch-key functions and a wide range of other peripheral functions. These features combine to make these new devices especially suitable for bridge sensor analog signal processing with a particular attention to Body Fat Scale applications.
The devices contain 16K/8K/4K of OTP Program Memory, 256 bytes of Data Memory, two 16-bit timers and one 8-bit timer together with a buzzer output. They include up to 22 I/O pins as well as external wake up and touch key interrupt functions. The internal LCD driver circuit can also drive LCD panels of up to 192 pixels.

Central to the device is its dual slope A/D converter, a function which is widely used in measuring systems and which includes an amplifier, voltage follower, integrator, comparator, charge-pump and 3.3V output regulator. In addition, the devices include a four-key touch switch function and an external vibration sensor amplifier circuit.

This combination of features provides an ideal solution for measuring applications which require touch key inputs and vibration switch functions. The internal Watchdog, Low Voltage Detect and Low Voltage Reset functions, offer excellent safeguards and protection against low system voltages and noisy electrical environments.

Complementing Holtek's range of MCU devices is a comprehensive suite of hardware and software tools in the form of the HT-IDE3000 development system. Features such as real time emulation, memory/register modification, logical setup breakpoints, trace analysis etc, are all standard features of the system and all of which add together to provide designers with all the tools they need for rapid and efficient product application development and debug.
