TouchNetix positioned for growth after successful financing

TouchNetix AS, a rapidly growing provider of next gen human machine interface (HMI) semiconductor chips and sensor modules, has announced the closure of a 120 MNOK ($12m) financing.

Existing and new shareholders who participated in the financing include Alliance Venture, Bergan, Calypso Invest, Djerv Holding, Fyrva, Investinor, Investitude, LER Invest, Motor-Trade Eiendom & Finans, R. Munkhaugen, Reitan Kapital and Wiski Capital (alphabetical order). Sparebank 1 Markets was the company’s financial advisor in the transaction.

TouchNetix is a global specialist in advanced HMI technology, providing intuitive and safety-enhancing user experiences for touchscreens and smart touch surfaces. Such surfaces include touch-pads, rotary dials, door handles, steering wheels and other dashboard and control function areas in vehicles. The growing family of automotive qualified aXiom chips offers high-performance 2D touch sensing and additional 3D sensing features such as touchless operation and force-sensing.

TouchNetix is a fabless semiconductor and systems company with complete design and manufacturing support capabilities, servicing its customers from prototyping to volume manufacturing. The funds from the emission will be used to further expand the company’s R&D, manufacturing support operations, and sales and customer support services as the touch HMI markets continue to rapidly grow and develop.

The aXiom family of user interface chips (AX54A, AX80A, AX112A and AX198A) are in production and available now. Demonstration, evaluation, and development kits for all chips are available, as well as the Chrominance sensor module family of products. The aXiom chips are qualified according to AEC-Q100, and the product family is being ASIL-B ready certified.
