STMicroelectronics and Rutronik have teamed up with the Hardware Academy to help you develop low power, low cost IoT solutions using the STM32 IoT Node Discovery Kit. This is a hands-on engineering session using professional hardware and software development tools. Attendees will work with multiple motion and environmental MEMS devices and low power radio modules on the STM32 IoT Node Discovery Kit to monitor the surroundings and upload the data to the cloud, where it can be viewed and plotted from an internet browser.

Participants will take home the STM32 IoT Node Discovery Kit for free. The B-L475E-IOT01A2 Discovery kit for IoT node allows users to develop applications with direct connection to cloud servers. The Discovery kit enables a wide diversity of applications by exploiting low-power communication, multiway sensing and ARM Cortex -M4 core-based STM32L4 Series features. The support for Arduino Uno V3 and PMOD connectivity provides unlimited expansion capabilities with a large choice of specialized add-on boards.

In addition, participants will have the fantastic opportunity to connect with experts from Telit and Yageo who will be showcasing some of their latest technologies during the event.

Telit is an IoT company who offers what is supposedly the world’s most comprehensive portfolio of high-performance IoT modules, connectivity services and software. They will showcase some of their latest WiFi, GSM and GNSS devices during the workshop.

Yageo is a Taiwan-based electronic component manufacturing company specialised in in passive devices (resistors, capacitors and inductors). They will showcase a variety of antenna such as PCB, chip, patch and active antenna’s during the workshop.
